2010 Rotating Art Show Schedule

Abstract Only Art Show:  Non-juried show:
Let your imagination run wild, have fun, do something “out of your comfort zone.”
May 10th -> June 21st Delivery on the 8th of May

 

Fiber Art Show:  Any work utilizing “fiber” is acceptable. Use your imagination. Each piece must have a pocket and a rod in order to be properly hung in the library. The pieces should be no larger than 36” in height or width.
July 12th -> September 13th Delivery on the 10th of July

 

Seventh Annual Juried Art Show:
Use your imagination to create an interesting work. ANY media 2D art i.e. watercolor, oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics, drawings (ink, pencil, conté, charcoal), egg tempera etc. No Photography will be accepted.
September 27th -> November 8th    Delivery on the 25th of September

 

Seasonal: The piece must depict a fall, winter or holiday scene. Be creative. It may be in any medium. It may be abstract, realistic, 3D, a photograph, a quilt or any fiber art.
November 21st -> January 3rd 2011 Delivery on the 19th of November

The artwork for non-juried shows will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. If your work is not accepted for the non-juried shows do not despair the rotating shows will be on going throughout the year.

For the 2D shows, including photography show, all pieces must be securely wired and braced for hanging. No clips or “fast frames” will be accepted. The pieces must be able to be hung using the library’s hanging system. No wet, fragile or ill-prepared work will be accepted. Unframed canvases cannot have staples showing. The exhibition committee reserves the right to reject any work not following these standards.

The works must be delivered during the time allocated for their collection. Works delivered before or after the allotted time will not be accepted.

Works must not exceed 34 inches in length, or 24 inches in width, including the frame, except as noted for the Fiber Art show.

The library requests 15% commission on all sales.
