Wanted: Volunteers to Manage Paper Recycling Bins
Who: Male or female volunteers able to reach/climb inside bins to remove unacceptable items, poke plastic bags to remove air, and generally oversee the program. Bins are emptied every few months by professional recycling company.
When: Bins should be maintained at a minimum of once each week.
Where: Two bins are located in the library’s parking lot and two bins are in the parking lot of the Upper Saucon Township Municipal Building. Volunteers must agree to maintain all four bins.
Why: Recycling paper is good for the environment! Paper collected can generate income for the library and help with operating expenses. (Currently, income from the bins is going to Lower Saucon Historical Society)
