Rotating Art Show Schedule
Tenth Annual Juried Photography Show
Photos on any topic will be accepted. The photos will be judged on quality of print, composition and originality.
January 13th - March 8th | Delivery on the 11th of January, between 11:30AM and 3:30PM
Students Show (Elementary, Junior and Senior High)
Includes ANY 2D art, photos and small needle arts that can be hung in library (quilts, fiber art etc.)
March 24th - May 2nd | Delivery on the 22nd of March, between 11:30AM and 3:30PM
Non-juried show: Let your imagination run wild, have fun, do something “out of your comfort zone.” Portraits of people, pets, pachyderms, etc.
May 19th - June 27th | Delivery on the 17th of May, between 11:30AM and 3:30PM
Sand, Sun, Surf, Summer Fun
Depict Summer fun at the beach, in the mountains, in your garden. Have fun with this.
July 14th - September 5th | Delivery on the 12th of July, between 11:30AM and 3:30PM
Eleventh Annual Juried Art Show
Use your imagination to create an interesting work. ANY media 2D art i.e. watercolor, oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics, drawings (ink, pencil, conté, charcoal), egg tempera etc. No photography will be accepted.
September 22nd - October 24th | Delivery on the 20th of September, between 11:30AM and 3:30PM
The piece should depict any holiday from Halloween through Christmas. It may be in any medium. It may be abstract, realistic, a photograph, a quilt or any fiber art.
November 10th - December 19th | Delivery on the 8th of November, between 11:30AM and 3:30PM
Information on Submitting Art
The artwork for non-juried shows will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. If your work is not accepted for the non-juried shows do not despair the rotating shows will be on going throughout the year.
For the 2D shows, including photography show, all pieces must be securely wired and braced for hanging. No clips or “fast frames” will be accepted. The pieces must be able to be hung using the library’s hanging system. No wet, fragile or ill-prepared work will be accepted. Unframed canvases cannot have staples showing. The exhibition committee reserves the right to reject any work not following these standards.
The works must be delivered during the time allocated for their collection. Works delivered before or after the allotted time will not be accepted.
Works must not exceed 34 inches in length, or 24 inches in width, including the frame, except as noted for the Fiber Art show.
The library requests 15% commission on all sales.
