Rotating Art Show Schedule

Community residents are invited to participate as artists or art lovers. Submissions accepted on dates and times specified only.

Twelfth Annual Photography Show (non-juried): Through Mar. 11
Photos on any topic will be accepted, however, vintage black and white photos are preferred. If you have some old classic, historical, or generally interesting B&W photos, bring them in!

Students Show (Elementary, Junior and Senior High): April 4 - May 20 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat., April 2)
Includes ANY 2D art, photos and small needle arts, quilts, fiber art, etc. that can be hung in the library.

Still Life: June 13 - Aug. 5 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat. June 11) Non-juried show; let your imagination run wild, have fun, do something “out of your comfort zone.” The work may be abstract, impressionistic or realistic.

Thirteenth Annual Juried Art Show: Aug. 29 - Oct. 14 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat. Aug. 27) Use your imagination to create an interesting work. ANY media 2D art i.e. watercolor, oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics, drawng (ink, pencil, conté, charcoal), egg tempura, etc. NO photography will be accepted.

Tis the Season: Oct. 31 - Dec. 16 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat. Oct. 29) The piece should depict any of the seasonal holidays. It may be in any medium. It may be abstract, realistic, a photograph, a quilt or any fiber art.

The artwork for non-juried shows will be accepted on a first come first served basis. If your work is not accepted for the non-juried shows, do not despair; the rotating shows will be ongoing throughout the year.

The artwork for non-juried shows will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. If your work is not accepted for the non-juried shows do not despair the rotating shows will be on going throughout the year.

For the 2D shows, including photography show, all pieces must be securely wired and braced for hanging. No clips or “fast frames” will be accepted. The pieces must be able to be hung using the library’s hanging system. No wet, fragile or ill-prepared work will be accepted. Unframed canvases cannot have staples showing. The exhibition committee reserves the right to reject any work not following these standards.

The works must be delivered during the time allocated for their collection. Works delivered before or after the allotted time will not be accepted.

Works must not exceed 34 inches in length, or 24 inches in width, including the frame, except as noted for the Fiber Art show.

The library requests 15% commission on all sales.
