Rotating Art Show Schedule

Eleventh Annual Juried Photography Show:

On display through Mar. 6.

Students Show (Elementary, Junior and Senior High):

Mar. 23 - May 1 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat., Mar. 21)

Includes ANY 2D art, photos and small needle arts (quilts, fiber art, etc.) that can be hung in the library.

People and Places:

May 18 - June 26 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat., May 16)

Non-juried show: Let your imagination run wild, have fun, do something “out of your comfort zone”. Artwork should show people in places having fun.

Hot, Hot, Hot:

July 13 - Sep. 4 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat., July 11)

Depict summer heat, or heat in general, at the beach, in the mountains, in your garden. Have fun with this!   

Twelfth Annual Juried Art Show:

Sep. 21 - Oct. 23 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat., Sep. 19)

Use your imagination to create an interesting work. ANY media 2D art i.e. watercolor, oils, pastels, mixed media, acrylics, drawings (ink, pencil, conté, charcoal), egg tempera, etc. No photography will be accepted.

Cold, Cold, Cold:

Nov. 9 - Dec. 18 (Submissions: 11:30AM - 3:30PM, Sat., Nov. 7)

The piece should depict the frigid winter or the sense of the cold weather. It may be in any medium. It may be abstract, realistic, a photograph, a quilt or any fiber art.

The artwork for non-juried shows will be accepted on a first come first serve basis. If your work is not accepted for the non-juried shows do not despair the rotating shows will be on going throughout the year.

For the 2D shows, including photography show, all pieces must be securely wired and braced for hanging. No clips or “fast frames” will be accepted. The pieces must be able to be hung using the library’s hanging system. No wet, fragile or ill-prepared work will be accepted. Unframed canvases cannot have staples showing. The exhibition committee reserves the right to reject any work not following these standards.

The works must be delivered during the time allocated for their collection. Works delivered before or after the allotted time will not be accepted.

Works must not exceed 34 inches in length, or 24 inches in width, including the frame, except as noted for the Fiber Art show.

The library requests 15% commission on all sales.
