Troubleshooting
When accessing your library account from home, your patron/alternate ID number is the barcode number from the back of your library card (begins with 20044...). This number should be entered without any spaces. Your pin number is 1111 by default unless you have changed it to a number/word of your choice. The pin number is case sensitive.
If you are still unable to access your library account from home, please check the following possible solutions:
1) If you are using a new product called, “Windows XP - Media Center Edition” as a regular operating system, you may have difficulty accessing your library account as well as many other websites. This software is for media use only, not regular websites.
2) Check your browser’s privacy settings. If using Internet Explorer, follow these instructions::
a. Open Internet Explorer.
b. Click Tools
c. Click Internet Options
d. Click on the Privacy tab across the top.
e. Click on the control button and move it down to Medium. Any higher setting may prevent you from receiving cookies needed to access library account.
3) If you are using a 3rd party software, such as McAfee or Norton, and have enabled the personal firewall or other security type settings, you will need to adjust those to accept cookies as well. Instructions for making those adjustments would be available from the manufacturer.
