New Services
--In addition to being able to place online holds for free, you may now place holds at the desk. We no longer charge for this service. Ask any staff member to place a hold on any item that is currently unavailable.

--Learn a Language! We have a new collection of Pimsleur Language CDs funded by a grant from the PA Department of Community and Economic Development and sponsored by Representative Karen Beyer. Choose from Spanish, Italian, German, Eastern Arabic, Hindi, Russian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, Farsi, French, Dutch, Swahili, and Irish.

--Check out more DVDs and videos! The collection has grown and we've relaxed our circulation policy to let patrons check out up to 10 DVDs and 10 videos at any one time. In addition, you can check them out for a bit longer and avoid overdue fines; these items now circulate for two weeks and may be renewed for one additional week.

--New Magazine Titles! Have you seen the latest issue of these new titles? Bicycling, Culture & Travel, Everyday with Rachel Ray, Family Tree, Film Comment, Fine Gardening, Garden Gate, Harper's, Runner's World, Dick Berggren's Speedway Illustrated, Vanity Fair, The Week, ...and for teens and children - Faces: People, Places, & Culture (Winner of 2007 Parent's Choice Silver Honor), Kid Zone, Wild Animal Baby, and Teen Vogue. Check them out!

--The Southern Lehigh Public Library has gone wireless! Bring in your laptop and make yourself at home while you surf on our FREE high-speed wireless network!

--We now sell headphones for $1.00 / pair at the Circulation Desk. Now you can hear what you need to without disturbing the silence in the library!

--We also sell 1GB USB 2.0 Flash Drives for $10 and floppy disks for $1.

--The outside book and audio-visual returns are now open 24/7. Patrons not wishing to come into the library to return items may now deposit them in our outside returns at their convenience. Staff will check-in items at 2pm, 5pm, and 8:45pm Monday-Thursday and at 2pm and 4:45pm on Friday and Saturday, provided they are able to do so.

--You may now renew over the phone, as well as online. Overdue fines are .25 / day, per book.
