need to register the participant/child. Registration requires a library card number.

Each child is required to have their own library card to attend programming. Ask at the circulation desk about the “My First Library Card” program, or sign up online for a library card here.

Summer Fun Club Opening Program – Talewise’s Science Heroes: Adventure of the Lost Treasure: Thursday, June 20th at 6:30pm – Help us kick off our Summer Fun Club with a Storytelling & STEAM Adventure

Game Play: (Ages 2 – 6 years old) Fridays June 21st and July 19th at 10:30am – Get your bodies moving with play/gym equipment.

Lego Free Build: Saturday, June 22nd at 11am – Come use your imagination to create your own Lego masterpieces to be displayed in the library. Ages 6+

Author Visit with Author/Illustrator Kevin McCloskey: Wednesday, June 26th at 10:30am – Join us for visit with author/illustrator Kevin McCloskey. Kevin McCloskey keeps curious minds growing through blending science, art, and comedy in his Giggle and Learn series. This collection includes the following hardcover titles: We Dig Worms!; The Real Poop on Pigeons!; Something’s Fishy; Snails Are Just My Speed!; Ants Don’t Wear Pants!; Caterpillars: What Will I be When I Get to be Me?

Kids Chess Club: (Ages 8 – 17 years old): Thursdays June 27th and July 25th at 6:30pm – Learn and practice your chess skills by playing with peers.

Beginner’s Balloon Twisting Workshop: (Ages 7+) Wednesday, July 10th at 10:30am – Join us for a morning of learning and fun with Magician Abby London. This workshop is for beginners who have never been to balloon class before. The children get real-world experience sculpting balloons to take home.

Family Evening Movie: Wednesday, July 10th at 6:15pm – Watch Princess Bride (PG) on our big screen while enjoying snacks.

Tween & Teen Crafternoon:(Ages 10 – 17 years old) Thursdays, July 11th and August 8th at 1:00pm – Join us for an afternoon of crafting, friendship, and fun.

Dungeon and Dragons Club: (For new and experienced players ages 12 – 101) Thursdays June 13th and July 11th from 6:00-8:00pm – Adventure League and Homebrew One-Shot Campaigns. Three tables available with experienced DMs running the campaigns. Dice and character sheets available or bring your own. D&D app and D&D Beyond welcome.

Tail Wagging Readers: Saturday, July 13th at 11:00am – Come and read to therapy dogs at the library. Great for reluctant readers.

Pokémon Card Club: (Ages 6+) Monday, July 15th 4:00pm – Come share your love of Pokémon card collecting and playing with others.

Kids Dance Party: Wednesday, July 17th at 10:30am – Come on over to the library and dance the morning away!

Traveling Lantern Theatre Company Present, “The Quest for the Kakapo!”: Thursday, July 18th at 6:30pm. Join the Caterpillar Hunter on another exciting adventure as he travels around the world to rescue a rare, endangered parrot known as the Kakapo, from New Zealand. His globetrotting quest teaches him (and the audience) about the many efforts underway to preserve precious habitats and protect the endangered species that live in them.

Lehigh Valley Zoo Reach Program: Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30am – Animal Education Event with the Lehigh Valley Zoo. This program is geared for children ages 4+ due to the wildlife that will be at this event and their need for a calm and quiet environment at times.

Family Fort Night: Wednesday, July 31st at 6:30pm – Bring blankets, pillows, books, flashlights and find a space in the library to build your fort and read (the library will be closed to the public for this special event).

Lehigh Valley Drum Circle: (Ages 5+) Thursday, August 1st at 6:30pm. Join us for a night of drumming and community with our Family Drum Circle Program with instructor Moe Jerant.

Nature Program w/ Lehigh County Conservation District: Monday, August 5th at 10:30am – Join Miss Laura of LCCD for an educational and fun filled nature program.

Outdoor Chalk & Bubble Fun: Wednesday, August 7th at 10:30am – Join us outdoors behind our library for some Chalk & Bubble Fun (program will be cancelled if weather is not favorable).

Closing Program Kit’s Interactive Theatre: Thursday, August 8th at 6:30pm – Help us celebrate the end of our Summer Fun Club with Kit’s Interactive Theatre’s Pioneer Travel on the Oregon Trail (1863) – Relive the spirit of covered wagon travel (buffalo stampedes and snakebites included!) before dancing by moonlight with pioneer Penny Pritchard. Celebrate with us after the show with a treat from the Kona Ice Truck.
